Celonis, a global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their finance team in New York. This role is central to the company's financial planning and strategic decision-making. You will drive the annual budgeting and planning process in collaboration with department heads, developing and maintaining detailed financial models for revenue forecasting, expense budgeting, and cash flow analysis. You'll prepare rolling forecasts and conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of potential business decisions. In terms of reporting and analysis, you'll prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders. You'll analyze financial results to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, develop and monitor KPIs and operational metrics, and present financial insights to executive leadership to inform strategic decision-making. You'll serve as a strategic business partner, collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance on initiatives, product launches, and market expansions. You'll support strategic projects such as M&A, partnerships, and capital investments with financial analysis and due diligence, and participate in pricing strategy development. Additional responsibilities include identifying opportunities to streamline FP&A processes and implementing best practices, enhancing financial systems and tools to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency, monitoring cash flow projections and managing working capital, analyzing funding needs, evaluating investment opportunities, assessing financial risks and developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. You'll need a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CFA a plus), with 3-5 years of FP&A experience preferably in SaaS or technology, or equivalent experience in equity research, investment banking, or private equity. You must have a proven track record with complex financial models, subscription-based business models, and ASC 606 revenue recognition. Technical skills required include advanced proficiency in financial modeling tools (Anaplan/Pigment, Excel, SQL), strong understanding of SaaS metrics, familiarity with ERP systems and BI tools, and knowledge of accounting principles. Experience with AI-powered finance tools and predictive analytics is valued. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
