Salary: CAD 95,000 - 100,000 / annual

The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Manager and partner with operating and finance colleagues to support Banyan's growing portfolio of high-quality software businesses. This role spans all aspects of finance operations including revenue recognition, accounts payable and expenses, cash management, financial reporting and analysis, and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare timely and accurate US GAAP financial statements, board reporting, budgets, and KPIs for operating companies to drive growth and decision-making
- Perform quality assurance on finance and accounting work product, including GL posting reviews, revenue recognition monitoring, and variance analysis
- Contribute to operational performance through budget-to-actuals analysis, revenue and expense analysis, and actionable insights
- Support financial and operational integration of acquisitions and implement M&A business case initiatives
- Develop ad hoc reports and document Standard Operating Procedures to promote best practices across the portfolio
- Provide financial advice and guidance to business partners
The ideal candidate has minimum 3 years of finance/accounting experience, a university degree in business, accounting, or finance, and solid working knowledge of accounting principles. An accounting designation or progress toward one is preferred. NetSuite experience is an asset. The role requires excellent attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and genuine interest in entrepreneurship, software, and finance.
