Salary: GBP 75,000 - 85,000 / annual
Adzuna is a global job search engine with tens of millions of monthly visitors, operating across the UK, US, France, Germany, and Australia. This Senior Finance Manager role reports directly to the CFO and owns accounting and financial control across the multi-entity group.
Key responsibilities include:
**Group Accounting & Consolidation**: Lead month-end and year-end close processes for consolidated group management accounts across UK, US, and European entities. Maintain robust financial controls aligned with accounting standards, manage the group finance calendar, and serve as the primary contact for external auditors during annual audits.
**Tax, Payroll & Compliance**: Manage UK VAT, French TVA, and German sales tax compliance. Coordinate US tax filings and execute global transfer pricing agreements. Handle annual compliance reporting including R&D tax claims, PSAs, and P11Ds. Oversee payroll preparation and payment coordination with external local providers across all regions. Administer employee benefits including pension feeds and HSA contributions. Support EMI and US 409A valuations, maintain cap table records, and submit annual HMRC option filings. Handle corporate governance, company secretarial filings, and global insurance renewals.
**Team Management & Operations**: Guide and develop junior finance support staff. Drive group cash flow reporting, manage international cash balances, oversee payment runs, and manage multi-currency banking relationships. Serve as the primary operational contact for international tax advisors and accounting firms. Manage key finance systems including Xero, Stripe, and PayPal.
**Requirements**: Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience as a Senior Finance Manager or Financial Controller in fast-paced tech, marketplace, or high-growth businesses. Strong core accounting fundamentals with exposure to multi-entity environments. Experience supporting annual audits and working with external accounting, tax, and banking partners. Highly organized, proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable with modern financial tools. Experience in high-volume transactional environments (marketplaces, e-commerce, SaaS, fintech) is preferred. International exposure and French or German language skills are nice-to-haves.
