Thunes is a global fintech platform enabling real-time money movement across 140+ countries and 90+ currencies. The company operates a Direct Global Network connecting to 12+ billion mobile wallets and bank accounts via 350+ payment methods, serving clients like Uber, Deliveroo, Grab, and WeChat. The Senior Finance Analyst – Europe will support the Finance Reporting & Compliance Lead in managing financial operations for Thunes' European entities, including TPAS and Limonetik. This role bridges European finance leadership with the Accounting Operations team based in Manila, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting regional growth. Key responsibilities include: Financial Reporting & Compliance: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles. Review accounting outputs, prepare month-end journals and financial schedules, perform variance analysis, and support Group reporting packages. Financial Controls: Execute balance sheet reconciliations, review aging reports, monitor intercompany balances, ensure compliance with Group accounting policies, and support internal control enhancements. Regulatory & Statutory Reporting: Prepare regulatory submissions and statutory financial statements, coordinate supporting documentation, maintain audit evidence, and support internal and external audits (statutory and regulatory). Accounting Operations Oversight: Review AP/AR outputs, monitor month-end deliverables, resolve operational queries, track outstanding issues, and drive service improvements. Process Improvement: Identify automation opportunities, improve finance processes, document SOPs, support finance transformation initiatives, and standardize accounting processes across Europe. Business Partnering: Collaborate with Finance Leads, Group Controllership, Treasury, Tax, Compliance, Legal, and Accounting Operations teams. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; 5+ years in finance, accounting, or audit; working knowledge of IFRS; experience supporting month-end close; strong analytical and Excel skills; fluent English (French advantageous). Fintech, payments, banking, or financial services experience preferred. Shared service centre experience desirable.
