Wego seeks a Senior Finance Operations professional to lead reconciliation and payment operations. This role is central to ensuring financial accuracy across the company's payment ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of payment gateway settlements against internal booking records
- Reconcile BSP (IATA Billing and Settlement Plan) transactions and investigate discrepancies
- Support consolidator and low-cost carrier (LCC) reconciliations, matching supplier statements of account (SOAs) to internal ledgers
- Identify, investigate, and escalate reconciliation discrepancies with urgency
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals in NetSuite
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation for reconciliation workflows
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and vendor management teams to resolve payment and data issues
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in finance operations, reconciliation, or accounting (OTA/travel/e-commerce background preferred)
- Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume transaction environments
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities for discrepancy investigation
- Strong communication skills for cross-team and vendor coordination
Preferred experience includes familiarity with payment gateways, BSP/IATA settlement processes, travel/OTA industry finance operations, automation tools (RPA, scripting), and GDS systems (Sabre, Travelport).
