Jane App is hiring a Senior Events Specialist to own and scale its field marketing program and tradeshow portfolio across Canada and the US. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager of Event Marketing, combining strategic planning with hands-on execution. You will develop and execute Jane's annual field marketing plan—local dinners, happy hours, and community gatherings in priority markets—while managing a portfolio of 12–15 annual tradeshows. The role bridges strategy and logistics: you'll decide where local events will resonate, design memorable experiences, negotiate venues and vendors, manage budgets, and ensure flawless onsite execution. You'll also coordinate tradeshow booths to align messaging and audience with surrounding field events, creating a cohesive market presence rather than isolated activations. Key responsibilities include: - Building the annual field marketing plan with clear objectives and success metrics for each event - Leading end-to-end execution: creative concept, venue sourcing, vendor negotiation, budgeting, run-of-show, and onsite delivery - Owning pre- and post-event strategy: audience targeting, invite campaigns, attendee follow-up, and momentum-building communications - Establishing visual identity and cohesive branding across all field marketing touchpoints - Planning and executing tradeshow booth presence, including setup, staffing coordination, asset prep, and customer engagement - Coordinating with market-level partners to align booth and field event goals - Building and managing program budgets, forecasts, and reconciliations - Establishing standardized reporting on attendance, engagement quality, cost per attendee, leads, and budget performance - Creating planning tools, templates, and training materials to help the team scale - Piloting new engagement formats and activations to evolve field marketing from one-off events into a scalable program Travel is approximately 30% (typically 3–4 events per quarter for onsite execution). You'll work closely with cross-functional partners including sales, partnerships, and marketing operations. This role requires translating strategic direction into clear execution plans with minimal oversight, making confident event-level tradeoffs, and escalating decisions that affect broader strategy or budget.
