Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. As a Senior Enterprise Account Manager based in San Francisco, you will manage relationships with Adyen's largest enterprise merchants, acting as a strategic advisor and trusted partner.
Your primary responsibilities include building and maintaining deep relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers at strategic accounts, understanding their unique business needs across multiple industries and channels. You will drive commercial negotiations on complex deals, meeting strategic and financial targets while expanding Adyen's footprint with existing customers. Your role combines relationship management with commercial acumen—you'll leverage data and payments expertise to position yourself as an informed advisor who helps merchants optimize their payment strategies across international markets.
You will serve as a senior presence on the team, mentoring junior account managers and helping them develop their skills. Cross-functional collaboration is essential: you'll coordinate with product, technical, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution on complex, multi-regional initiatives. You'll also advocate for customer needs internally, providing feedback that influences Adyen's product roadmap.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years in client-facing commercial roles—account management, consulting, or payments industry experience—with deep expertise in enterprise software, technical infrastructure, or financial services. You're a strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities, comfortable synthesizing complex data sets and leading consultative conversations. You thrive in fast-paced, multicultural environments and are skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously while motivating cross-functional teams. Full professional English proficiency required; some domestic and international travel expected.
