Salary: USD 200,000 - 500,000 / annual
Velaura is designing compute silicon for next-generation robots, autonomous systems, and intelligent machines. As Senior Engineering Program Manager, you will drive end-to-end execution of the Physical AI System-on-Chip (SoC) program, serving as the connective tissue across silicon development, platform hardware, software, and third-party IP vendors.
You will own the integrated program schedule from architecture through tapeout, silicon bring-up, and production readiness. This includes coordinating internal engineering teams, external IP providers, and manufacturing partners. You will surface risks early, drive decisions to closure, and maintain momentum across a complex, multi-disciplinary program operating at startup speed.
Key responsibilities include: defining and maintaining the integrated SoC schedule spanning architecture, RTL design, verification, physical design, tapeout, and production readiness; driving platform and software execution in parallel with silicon (board development, firmware, drivers, SDK, system validation); managing third-party IP vendor engagements including licensing, contracts, deliverables, quality metrics, and integration dependencies; running program-level rhythm through milestone reviews, cross-functional syncs, and executive reporting; identifying and mitigating program risks across silicon, platform, software, and vendor workstreams; coordinating external partners (foundry, OSAT, design services); and building program management processes, tools, and templates for a growing organization.
Required: 10+ years of semiconductor program management experience with at least one complex SoC program managed from architecture through bring-up. Demonstrated experience managing programs spanning silicon, platform hardware, and software. Hands-on experience managing third-party IP vendors. Working technical fluency in SoC development (RTL, verification, physical design, DFT, firmware). Expert command of program management fundamentals (scheduling, critical-path analysis, risk management, change control, stakeholder communication). Proven ability to influence across engineering, vendor, and executive audiences. Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred: experience with advanced process nodes and foundry/OSAT models; background in edge AI, automotive, robotics, or embedded/safety-adjacent domains; early-stage or high-growth company experience; Master's degree in engineering or business.
