In this role, you will lead a full-stack engineering team building AI-powered systems for Brightwheel's go-to-market organization. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position where you'll work directly with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, and Data to translate ambiguous business problems into reliable products and workflows. The work spans internal products, Salesforce and data integrations, evaluation systems, and customer-facing automation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a full-stack engineering team from problem definition through production, measurement, and iteration
- Translating company goals into clear outcomes, investment choices, and execution plans
- Setting engineering strategy for quality, reliability, security, privacy, and operational health
- Shipping AI-powered products and transforming how the team works with AI
- Hiring, developing, and managing strong engineers with clear performance standards
- Making capacity, dependencies, forecasts, and risks visible early
- Building internal products and AI workflows that improve revenue, conversion, productivity, or quality
- Owning cross-system execution across Salesforce, data, product, and AI services
You'll use metrics to drive investment decisions, maintain technical depth to challenge architecture and implementation decisions, and step into code when needed to accelerate team velocity. You won't wait for perfect requirements—you'll create clarity, make tradeoffs explicit, and stay accountable through production.
Ideal candidates have led engineering teams that delivered measurable customer or business results, possess technical depth to challenge architectural decisions, have set engineering strategy with explicit prioritization choices, and have shipped AI-powered products to production. Experience in vertical SaaS, education, fintech, healthcare, or operations-heavy domains is valued. The tech stack includes Python with FastAPI, React with TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redshift, DynamoDB, Airflow, Salesforce, AWS, Kubernetes, and modern AI/ML tools.
