As a Senior Engineer in Payments Engineering Operations, you will take on a strategic role focused on scaling efficiency across the development lifecycle. Working at the intersection of multiple engineering groups, this position offers broad perspective on the entire payments ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and Transform: Collaborate with multiple engineering groups to identify manual, repetitive tasks and lead the transition into robust, automated solutions.
- Scale Efficiency: Ensure success by scaling efficiency across the development lifecycle, aligning tactical fixes with broad architectural strategy.
- Mentorship & Coaching: Serve as a mentor and catalyst, guiding team members in spotting optimization opportunities and coaching them through high-quality implementation.
- System Design: Design flexible and scalable systems that work well within a larger network of microservices.
- Operational Excellence: Build, own and operate systems to the highest levels of resilience and service.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong understanding of software development principles in backend or full stack environment
- Great communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- AI proficiency or curiosity to embrace latest technology for productivity enhancement
Nice-to-have: Payments or financial domain knowledge.
