Commvault is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in C++ to join its Bengaluru office and build scalable, high-performance enterprise software for its cyber resilience platform. You will design, develop, and maintain core components in a distributed storage platform, participating in architecture discussions and technical design reviews. Your responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code; debugging complex production issues; improving system performance; mentoring junior engineers; conducting code reviews; and driving innovation while maintaining product quality and reliability. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, customer-centric solutions.
You bring a bachelor's degree and 4+ years of software development experience with strong C++ and object-oriented programming expertise. You have deep knowledge of Linux and Windows internals (process, memory, storage, networking), hands-on experience with debugging tools (gdb, WinDbg, ProcMon, Wireshark, tcpdump), and proven ability in crash dump analysis, memory leak detection, deadlock resolution, race condition identification, and performance tuning. You understand microservices, service architecture, client-server patterns, and distributed systems. You're proficient in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns, with familiarity in Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software development best practices. Security and SaaS experience is strongly preferred.
