Commvault is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in C++ to join its distributed storage platform team. This role is based in Nagpur (with additional opportunities in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune). You will design, develop, and maintain core components of a high-performance enterprise software platform used by over 100,000 organizations globally.
Key responsibilities include architecting and building scalable distributed storage systems, participating in technical design reviews, writing clean and well-tested code, debugging complex production issues, and mentoring junior engineers. You'll collaborate across teams to deliver secure, customer-centric solutions while driving innovation in cyber resilience and data protection.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree, 4+ years of software development experience, strong C++ and object-oriented programming expertise, deep understanding of Linux and Windows internals (process, memory, storage, networking), and hands-on experience with debugging tools (gdb, WinDbg, ProcMon, Wireshark, tcpdump). You should have proven experience with crash dump analysis, memory leak detection, deadlock resolution, race condition debugging, and performance tuning. Strong background in microservices, client-server architecture, and distributed systems is essential. Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software development best practices required. Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred.
