Wave is building financial services for Africa, enabling millions of users across 9 countries to send money, deposit cash, and make payments via mobile. The company's mission is to make Africa the first cashless continent by providing accessible, fee-free financial services where traditional banking infrastructure is unavailable.
As Senior Endpoint Engineer, you will own Wave's complete endpoint management function end-to-end. This includes designing and operating MDM platforms across ChromeOS (Google Workspace Admin Console), macOS (Jamf), Android, and Linux environments. You'll be responsible for platform architecture, policy design, device provisioning standards, fleet lifecycle management, and security integration.
Key responsibilities include: managing ChromeOS device policy and enrollment configuration across the majority of the fleet; designing endpoint security policies in collaboration with Information Security, including EDR integration (CrowdStrike Falcon) and patch management; building automated deployment pipelines for OS updates and software distribution; defining device lifecycle processes from provisioning through decommissioning; establishing cross-platform compatibility standards for a heterogeneous fleet; creating tooling and runbooks for local IT teams; owning fleet observability through dashboards and compliance reporting; evaluating endpoint tooling vendors; and mentoring junior team members.
The role blends architectural ownership with hands-on execution in a fast-growth environment. The first year will focus on remediation and foundation-building before shifting toward automation and scale. You'll work closely with Information Security, IT, and People Operations to set technical direction for device management at scale. Experience in scrappy, high-complexity environments is valued over experience operating only mature, static platforms.
Wave offers competitive compensation ($96,500–$133,100 USD depending on experience and location), generous equity, subsidized health insurance, 6 months paid parental leave, unlimited vacation (20-day minimum), and $10,000 annual charitable matching. The company covers annual travel to Africa and provides a yearly $1,200 stipend for team meetups.
