This Senior Employee Relations Specialist role is part of Remote's Lifecycle team, serving as a critical extension of clients' HR departments. You will manage complex employee exits and provide first-level employee relations support across EMEA jurisdictions, directly influencing Remote's compliance coverage, customer experience, and operational capacity. Key responsibilities include: **Offboarding & Exits**: Manage end-to-end employee separations across multiple international jurisdictions with a focus on legal compliance and superior customer experience. Handle terminations, resignations, transfers, redundancies, and employment contract matters. Lead and facilitate meetings with clients and employees, including workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, and settlement negotiations. Draft and administer termination documents with strict attention to detail and privacy compliance. Process offboarding in Remote's HRIS platform, coordinating with payroll, legal, benefits, and other internal teams. **Employee Relations Support**: Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying key facts and applicable local regulations. Guide clients through progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements. Monitor ongoing cases and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders for appropriate handling. Navigate clients through Remote's ER resources and policies. **Stakeholder Management**: Liaise with and coordinate internal teams (Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits) and external parties (government bodies, trade unions, legal counsel) to ensure compliance. Serve as subject-matter expert on offboarding and ER matters. Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations balancing competing stakeholder interests. **Continuous Improvement**: Actively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and product development to enhance customer and employee experience. Contribute to strategic initiatives aligned with Remote's values and goals. This is a high-impact role requiring expertise in international employment law, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
