The Senior Employee Relations Specialist will serve as a key architect of Divergent's workplace culture and operational excellence as the company scales. This role combines deep employee relations expertise with operational rigor and a builder mindset to navigate complex workplace matters, strengthen manager capability, and translate employee insights into better policies and organizational decisions. Key responsibilities include: **Employee Relations & Workplace Support**: Serve as primary point of contact for managers and employees on employee relations concerns, workplace issues, and policy interpretation. Conduct Tier 1 and Tier 2 investigations, fact-finding, and resolution recommendations. Partner with managers on performance matters, workplace conflicts, and policy questions. Collaborate with People leadership and Legal on complex or high-risk matters. Maintain accurate documentation and identify trends to improve employee experience and reduce organizational risk. Design and implement employee relations systems, workflows, and escalation frameworks. **Leave, Accommodations & Compliance**: Administer Leave of Absence programs including communications, documentation, and return-to-work coordination. Coordinate workplace accommodations and interactive processes. Support workers' compensation administration and return-to-work planning. Coordinate immigration case administration. Monitor compliance programs and ensure accurate documentation. **Policy Governance & Organizational Health**: Identify policy gaps, workplace trends, and organizational risks. Draft and maintain People policies and procedures in partnership with leadership and Legal. Support policy communication and change management. Develop systems and reporting for organizational health insights. Create self-service resources and SOPs. Implement process improvements. **Cross-Functional Partnership**: Partner with Legal, Payroll, Finance, Security, and Talent Acquisition. Build trusted relationships with managers and leaders. Support organizational initiatives that improve People Operations effectiveness. Influence stakeholders through data and operational insights. The role requires independent judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive workplace matters while maintaining confidentiality and consistency.
