- Design and implement guidance and navigation software within commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software frameworks
- Support airframe design activities and contribute to system-level engineering decisions
- Integrate software on flight hardware and support system integration testing
- Work full-time on-site at the Los Angeles (Hawthorne) office
- Collaborate with small, high-performing engineering teams on minimal supervision
You will have the opportunity to expand your skillset across multiple product families and work on production-level systems with real-world defense applications.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field

- Hands-on experience designing and implementing guidance algorithms for UAS platforms using commercial autopilot frameworks (e.g., ArduPilot)
- Practical understanding of flight dynamics for fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft
- Extensive experience developing embedded software on microcontroller architectures (STM32 or similar) and Linux-hosted systems (Nvidia Jetson, AMD/Xilinx SoC, Microblaze)
- Proven experience developing real-time embedded software with hardware interfaces
- Experience integrating vendor-provided low-level drivers and firmware
- Familiarity with Agile development processes (Scrum, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively on small teams
- U.S. Person status required (access to U.S.-only data systems)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current or previous DoD security clearance
- FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification
- Experience with EO/IR and radar sensor integration
- VHDL firmware development and AMD/Xilinx FPGA embedded software experience
- Git version control experience
- Production-level software development and deployment (DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD with modern tools)
- Full lifecycle software development of high-TRL (Technology Readiness Level) systems
- Hardware/software integration, test, and verification (I&T, V&V) of high-TRL systems
