Re:Build Fikst, part of Re:Build Manufacturing, is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join their product development and engineering consulting team in Wilmington, MA. Re:Build Manufacturing operates an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform partnering with industrial companies and innovators across aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy, and robotics verticals. Re:Build Fikst specializes in biomedical instruments, industrial automation, and design for manufacturing, with growing embedded systems design capabilities focused on microcontroller and embedded firmware solutions for electromechanical control. In this role, you will develop embedded software for a diverse range of products including medical devices, robotics solutions, industrial automation products, and consumer electronics. You'll work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers, interact directly with customers to understand their needs and demonstrate solutions, and support hardware demonstrations. The position offers opportunities to learn across disciplines, acquire additional responsibilities over time, and become part of a diverse engineering team. You are a creative problem solver who uses engineering fundamentals to connect scientific theory with engineering design to create novel software solutions. While experience with C/C++, RTOS, or Linux is valued, the company prioritizes your ability to architect scalable systems and solve complex problems. You are a strong communicator who can describe technical solutions to colleagues and clients, a hands-on firmware engineer comfortable building breadboards and using software to debug hardware, and a technical multiplier who measures success by the growth of engineers around you. You are a lifelong learner excited about mastering new technologies and teaching them to the team, and a collaborator who enjoys working with scientists, electrical engineers, optical engineers, manufacturing partners, mechanical engineers, and industrial designers.
