Salary: USD 195,000 - 215,000 / annual
Cobot is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design, integration, and debugging of novel collaborative robots. This role offers the opportunity to spearhead the development of the company's electrical systems, select cutting-edge technologies, and drive reliability in advanced robotic platforms designed for seamless human-robot interaction.
You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams spanning mechanical, software, firmware, supply chain, manufacturing, and testing disciplines. Your responsibilities will include driving electrical design and integration to ensure optimal performance and reliability, collaborating on full system debugging and refinement, developing testing and validation methodologies to guarantee efficacy and safety, and streamlining the electrical design process from component selection through PCB layout and system bring-up.
The role is based at Cobot's Santa Clara, CA headquarters. The company offers a relocation stipend for candidates relocating from more than 50 miles away.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical design and execution
- Proven expertise in component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout for custom boards
- Strong background in debugging and testing complex electrical designs with deep understanding of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity
- Experience collaborating across mechanical, thermal, software, firmware, manufacturing, and testing disciplines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative startup environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Must have and maintain US work authorization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of experience in electrical and electronic design, preferably in robotics or complex systems
- Proficiency in system architecture, requirements capture, and system analysis
- Experience selecting sensors for complex electromechanical products
- Expertise in developing and executing electrical validation plans
