Fever is a global tech platform for culture and live entertainment, operating in 55+ countries with 300+ million monthly users. The Secret Media Network is a digital media group that includes outlets like Secret London, Secret NYC, Secret Paris, Madrid Secreto, and others, focused on recommending plans, discovering places, and sharing local entertainment news. You will lead editorial operations for the French and Belgian markets as a Senior Editorial Manager, reporting directly to the VP of Media. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a growing team of editors, writers, video producers, and social media creatives. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and mentor a team of editors, writers, video producers, and social creatives through 1-on-1s, clear workflows, and feedback - Develop and execute creative vision for the Secret Media Network across your region - Establish and maintain high editorial standards aligned with brand identity and tone of voice - Lead team growth, inspire creativity, and drive audience expansion - Analyze regional performance data using SMN's internal KPIs to inform strategy - Identify editorial partnership opportunities to broaden content reach - Coordinate, assign, and prioritize editorial work; collaborate cross-functionally with other Fever departments - Develop and analyze audience-growth strategies; share best practices network-wide - Translate business operations knowledge into content strategies supporting revenue, audience growth, and company objectives - Build and optimize content-driven conversion funnels, ensuring storytelling, formats, distribution, and audience insights drive measurable conversions - Take hands-on approach to initiating key content-creation initiatives The role is hybrid based in Madrid with flexibility for home office work. Requirements: - Proficiency in English and bilingual/native-level French - 5+ years experience in newsroom, content agency, creative agency, or digital media property - Minimum 2 years of team management experience - Deep passion for journalism, especially local-level, social media, and digital marketing - Expertise in media mapping and ability to collaborate with external partners (advertising agencies, media agencies, TV/animation companies) - Digital fluency and hands-on knowledge of current social media landscape (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, etc.) - Strong ability to inspire creative teams and customers; excellent presentation skills - Data-driven and business-savvy with superb writing skills and creative flair - Solid understanding of optimization technologies, AI-driven processes, workflow automation, and performance outcomes - Ability to convert content creators' economy into growth opportunities - Team player attitude - Preferred: WordPress proficiency, familiarity with Photoshop and Canva, knowledge of image/video editing software, powerful media network contacts
