Veeam is seeking a Senior Domain Engineering Specialist to drive customer success and security outcomes across the Veeam Data Platform (VDP). This is a technical customer-facing role that bridges engineering and customer success, requiring deep expertise in cybersecurity architecture and data resilience.
You will partner with Customer Success Engineers and Account Executives to engage Enterprise and Commercial-Named accounts (typically $100K+ ARR). Key responsibilities include:
• Engage customers on security-related products, architectures, and risk topics across VDP
• Conduct readiness checks and lead data modeling to validate solution designs and accelerate customer decisions
• Monitor attack surfaces, vulnerabilities, and telemetry using the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM) to track health and identify expansion opportunities
• Validate architectural designs to de-risk adoption and reduce time to value
• Lead risk and opportunity discussions with CISO/CIO stakeholders, synthesizing account health data and QBR insights
• Support Account Executives on security and AI-driven expansion motions
• Operate as a pooled resource covering multiple accounts at a typical 1:6-8 ratio with CSE teams
You will NOT be the primary owner for onboarding or renewals—this role focuses on post-sale technical enablement, risk management, and expansion.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering architecture (Security Engineer/Architect, Cloud Solution Architect, MLOps/ML Engineer roles). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent). Expertise in data security, governance, DSPM/DLP, and familiarity with AI/ML architectures. Demonstrated ability to engage C-level stakeholders on risk and modernization. Hands-on experience with solution design, POCs, telemetry monitoring, and maturity modeling. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. VMCE certification can be completed after joining.
