Docker is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management to lead its growing suite of developer tools and services. Docker serves over 20 million monthly users and processes 20+ billion container image pulls, making it one of the most trusted brands in developer tooling. This role offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of cloud-native application development as AI agents redefine software development workflows.
You will own the entire product lifecycle for Docker's offerings, leading a cross-functional team to define priorities, validate market fit, and bring winning products to market. Key responsibilities include hiring and developing a world-class product team, delivering customer and business results through cross-team collaboration, establishing a compelling product vision aligned with market opportunities, setting clear multi-team priorities, driving meaningful metrics beyond ARR growth, fostering rapid learning cycles, and building a healthy ecosystem around products. You may also serve as a product spokesperson with customers, partners, press, and at industry events.
The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on product management experience across multiple product stages, ideally including experience scaling products from early stage through maturity. You should have deep familiarity with developer tools, SaaS, cloud services, and/or open-source freemium models. You demonstrate a 10x mindset, customer obsession, and the ability to validate product-market fit through iterative learning before engineering investment. You operate with "presence over pretense"—humbly confident, knowing that influence matters more than authority. You thrive in remote-first, globally distributed environments across ~8 timezones and excel at asynchronous communication and information sharing. You're comfortable with controlled chaos: limited resources, imperfect information, rapidly changing markets, and minimal structure. Prior experience as a coding engineer or successfully serving developer audiences is valued. You possess a growth mindset and have demonstrated the ability to quickly learn new customers, markets, and business models.
