Maze Therapeutics seeks a Senior Director of Information Technology to lead enterprise technology strategy, operations, and security as the company advances clinical programs and prepares for global expansion. Reporting to the SVP of Technology & Business Operations, you will lead the internal IT team while evolving the operating model through partnerships with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and strategic vendors.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing Maze's enterprise IT strategy aligned with business growth, clinical development, security, and compliance requirements. You will oversee delivery of core enterprise services including Microsoft 365, identity and access management, endpoints, networking, cloud infrastructure, business applications, and end-user support. A major focus is modernizing the employee technology experience—from onboarding and access provisioning to authentication and support—to improve efficiency and satisfaction.
You will establish meaningful service levels, operational metrics, and performance expectations that drive accountability and continuous improvement across the IT function. Financial stewardship is critical: you'll own IT budget planning and investment prioritization, balancing business value, risk mitigation, employee experience, scalability, and cost efficiency.
As Maze scales, you'll partner across Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, HR, Research, and Informatics to strengthen cybersecurity posture, modernize workflows, and expand the use of AI and automation across the organization. This role requires hands-on leadership balanced with strategic vision—you'll be both architect and executor, ensuring the technology environment can reliably support a growing biotech company navigating increasingly complex global clinical development.
The position is based in South San Francisco headquarters with a minimum three-day-per-week onsite requirement.
