Culture Amp, the world's leading employee experience platform serving 25 million employees across 6,000+ companies, is seeking a Senior Director of Financial Control to lead and modernize the global financial control function. This is a highly visible leadership role reporting to the SVP of Finance and sitting on the Operations Leadership Team. You will own the strategy, operating model, and roadmap for financial control across four key areas: reporting and compliance, tax, financial operations, and vendor management/procurement. Your responsibilities include setting direction for the function's automation and AI agenda, ensuring NetSuite and the Cloud Data Warehouse deliver consistent and trusted financial information, and providing senior oversight on record-to-report, statutory reporting, tax, payroll, and vendor management. Key initiatives include leading the North American payroll outsourcing transition, supporting M&A financial due diligence and transaction readiness, and evolving financial policies and control frameworks to scale with company growth. You'll represent financial control to the Executive Team, Board, and external auditors, acting as the primary escalation point and trusted partner for four functional leads. You will directly lead the Financial Operations function initially, gaining deep operational understanding before driving broader transformation. You'll partner closely with Strategic Finance, Strategy, BizOps, Legal, People, and Engineering on finance systems, process design, risk, compliance, and financial insight. This role does not own forecasting or planning. You'll build and develop a strong team of finance directors and managers, creating succession depth and a connected team culture. The role requires hands-on leadership combined with strategic vision—setting priorities, removing barriers, and making sound decisions on complex judgement calls and cross-functional trade-offs. Culture Amp is backed by leading venture capital, operates globally with offices in the US, UK, Germany, and Australia, and has been recognized by Forbes as a top private cloud company and by Fast Company as one of the most innovative companies. The company works on a hybrid model with an expectation of approximately 2 days per week in the local Melbourne office.
