Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations to harness IoT data for actionable insights across physical operations including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.
As Senior Director of Finance Operations, you will lead a broad Financial Operations organization spanning Source-to-Pay, Global Payroll, Equity Administration, and Sales Commissions. This is a critical leadership role at a recently public, high-growth company where you'll own end-to-end operational excellence across two core pillars:
1. Source to Pay: Drive strategic sourcing, vendor management, and procurement governance across major spend categories. Own the P2P technology stack and establish best-in-class processes with full accountability for vendor relationships and procurement operations.
2. Compensation Operations: Oversee accurate and compliant global payroll operations across all jurisdictions, own all equity plan administration and regulatory compliance, and manage sales incentive compensation design and administration.
Key responsibilities include leading and scaling the Financial Operations team, driving AI-driven automation and process transformation, maintaining a strong SOX control environment as primary audit liaison, and serving as a key financial operations partner to executive leadership on SEC disclosures and board reporting. You'll partner broadly across Finance, Legal, People, IT, and Sales to champion process transformation while developing high-performing teams.
The role requires 12+ years of financial operations experience with meaningful depth in Source to Pay and/or Compensation Operations, demonstrated experience leading multi-functional teams, and proven success operating in SOX-compliant public company environments. You should have hands-on experience with enterprise systems (Coupa, SAP, Workday, ADP, Schwab/Computershare, CaptivateIQ, Xactly), a track record of large-scale process transformation with measurable outcomes, and familiarity with AI and automation tools applied to financial operations use cases.
