Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the energy and compute foundation for the world's most ambitious AI workloads. The company owns and operates the full stack from power generation through cloud services, positioning itself at the intersection of energy and AI infrastructure.
This Senior Director role leads Finance's foundational infrastructure and enablement function—not traditional FP&A business partnering, but the systems, policies, and processes that make the entire Finance organization more effective. You'll report to Finance leadership and serve as the connective tissue across Accounting, IT, Data Center Operations, and business-unit FP&A teams.
Key responsibilities include:
**Depreciation & Capital Policy**: Partner with Accounting to define and maintain depreciation methodologies and useful-life assumptions for data center, compute, and infrastructure assets. Ensure policies evolve with technology refresh cycles and asset utilization patterns in a capital-intensive business.
**Systems & Tools Strategy**: Own the roadmap for Finance's core systems—ERP, FP&A/planning platforms, and reporting tools. Lead build-vs-buy evaluations and drive implementations or upgrades as the business scales.
**Process Standardization**: Build repeatable, well-documented processes for planning, reporting, and month-end close. Reduce manual work and one-off spreadsheets across the finance organization.
**Cross-Functional Governance**: Act as the connective tissue between Accounting, IT, and business-unit Finance teams. Ensure capital policy, system changes, and forecasting standards are adopted consistently.
**Data & Reporting Infrastructure**: Improve the underlying data architecture and reporting layer that FP&A relies on. Partner with Data/Engineering teams to reduce manual reconciliation.
**Change Management & Training**: Roll out new tools, policies, and methodologies with clear documentation and training to ensure adoption across a growing, distributed finance team.
You'll bring 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including meaningful time in FP&A leadership, finance transformation, or finance systems roles. Direct experience partnering with Accounting on capital asset policy, depreciation methodology, or capitalization standards—ideally in an asset-heavy or infrastructure business—is essential. You have a track record of owning or driving major finance systems implementations (ERP, EPM/planning tools, BI platforms) and deep understanding of forecasting and planning methodologies that scale across multiple business units. Strong process orientation, stakeholder management, and communication skills are critical to influence Accounting, IT, and business leaders. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; CPA, MBA, or equivalent experience preferred.
