Spare builds AI-powered technology for cities, serving over 200 transit agencies across North America and globally. This Senior Digital and Motion Designer role is responsible for creating exceptional visual work across multiple formats and channels at high volume.
Key responsibilities include:
**Creative Output & Motion Leadership**: Ship high-volume, high-quality work across social media, campaigns, sales materials, events, video, and web. Motion and animation are core to the role—you'll concept and produce short-form animated content including product showcases, feature launches, and conference visuals that bring Spare's products to life. Animation is treated as a primary creative medium, not an afterthought.
**Event & Environmental Design**: Design conference booths, environmental graphics, event collateral, and on-stand content that reads from across crowded floors and translates to physical production at scale.
**Product Storytelling**: Collaborate closely with Marketing and Product teams to create compelling content that demonstrates Spare's capabilities through demo videos, feature highlights, and campaign assets that show rather than tell.
**Systems & Scalability**: Build template libraries and visual systems that enable teams across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Events to produce on-brand work independently, maintaining quality without becoming a bottleneck.
**Web Presence**: Maintain and evolve spare.com in Webflow, keeping the visual presence sharp and current as the company evolves.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Exceptional visual craft demonstrated through a portfolio of contemporary, distinctive work across campaign, digital, and motion formats
- Native motion and animation capability—fluent in motion tools and treating animation as a primary creative medium
- B2B tech company experience designing for technical products and considered purchases with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated range across formats (campaign, digital, motion, environmental, web) while maintaining visual coherence
- Sharp, contemporary sensibility with awareness of current design trends
- Obsessive attention to detail in typography, spacing, hierarchy, and color relationships
- Strong workload management: accurate sizing, early risk flagging, realistic commitment
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop), Figma, Webflow, and AI design tools
The role offers high volume and visibility—you'll ship significantly more work here than typical roles, across diverse formats and in front of audiences that genuinely depend on the product. You'll work within an established brand direction with real appetite for continuous improvement, collaborating closely with Marketing and the Director of Product Design who prioritizes craft excellence.
