Consensys is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join the MetaMask design team. MetaMask is the world's most-used crypto wallet, trusted by tens of millions of users. In this role, you'll bridge design and engineering to create beautiful, intuitive experiences across MetaMask's mobile app and browser extension.
You'll own the full journey from prototype to production, focusing on pixel-perfect interfaces, delightful animations, and micro-interactions that make complex blockchain interactions feel simple. Working closely with designers, engineers, and product managers, you'll build in React and React Native with obsessive attention to detail. Your responsibilities include translating Figma designs into accessible, production-ready components with minimal handoff friction; designing and implementing animations using tools like Rive or Lottie; prototyping and testing with real users; building agentic workflows to accelerate design-to-code processes; and growing the MetaMask design system with reusable, accessible components.
You should have a strong portfolio demonstrating polished interfaces and interactions—not just static screens, but motion and detail that bring them to life. You'll need proven experience shipping high-traffic consumer products in React and React Native, deep fluency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and strong cross-platform frontend architecture knowledge including state management, performance, and accessibility. A keen eye for interaction design and motion is essential; you understand when animations earn their place versus when they're noise. You're fluent in Figma, comfortable working independently on distributed global teams, and ideally have hands-on experience with crypto wallets or Web3 products. The role is fully remote, supporting both US and EMEA time zones. Note: applications from France, Italy, or Germany are not being considered for this position.
