Altruist is an AI-powered wealth management platform transforming financial advisory. This Senior Corporate Actions Analyst role sits within the Operations team and owns the complete lifecycle of corporate actions—from announcement through allocation and reconciliation—across equities, ETFs, mutual funds, and fixed income securities, with planned expansion into alternatives and listed options.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and processing mandatory and voluntary corporate actions (mergers, splits, rights issues, tender offers, warrants); overseeing dividend, interest, and income event payments with proper withholding and tax treatment; managing event lifecycle workflows including announcements, elections, allocations, entitlements, and reconciliations. You will coordinate with clients and custodians to collect instructions and submit elections via DTCC PBS/CA Web/AIP within regulatory deadlines.
The role emphasizes process modernization and automation. You'll implement maker-checker controls, build exception dashboards, establish KPIs, and partner with Product and Engineering teams to streamline workflows and drive straight-through processing (STP). You'll identify and resolve discrepancies, ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and build robust process documentation and playbooks to support scalability.
Vendor and platform management is also central—you'll maintain relationships with DTCC, proxy vendors, and custodians, and contribute to platform enhancements (FIS, XSP/Phase3, AIP). While people leadership experience is welcome, the emphasis is on deep subject matter expertise, hands-on ownership, and operational excellence in a high-growth environment.
Required: 3+ years in brokerage, clearing, or custody operations focused on corporate actions, dividends, or income processing; strong DTCC PBS knowledge; deep understanding of mandatory/voluntary event types, timelines, and tax/cost-basis implications; Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Series 99 license (or ability to obtain within 90 days); Series 7 preferred. Technical skills in SQL, Python, or similar coding languages are valued.
