Salary: USD 92,000 - 115,000 / annual

Scale AI is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing accounting team. The role focuses on day-to-day corporate accounting operations, supporting month-end close processes, and implementing systems and processes to support the company's continued growth. You will gain exposure to international entity accounting as Scale expands globally. Key responsibilities include: - Prepare journal entries and manage daily corporate accounting activities - Support month-end close process and deliver timely, accurate U.S. GAAP-compliant financials - Build and enhance balance sheet account reconciliation workpapers, including review and cleanup of historical reconciliations - Collaborate with accounting and finance teams on metrics, flux analysis, forecasts, and projections - Prepare audit documentation and support internal and external audit completion - Implement new systems, tools, and processes to streamline close operations - Identify and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce close timeline - Develop, maintain, and improve internal controls for assigned areas Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA or CPA-in-progress preferred) with 3+ years of relevant accounting experience. A combination of public accounting and industry experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close processes, and financial audit preparation experience are strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is required. Excellent writing, oral communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail are essential. Nice-to-have skills include direct experience with accruals, investments, internally-used software, ASC 842 leases, cloud computing arrangements, stock-based compensation, consolidation, and FX. Proficiency in SQL, NetSuite, FloQast, Coupa, and Jira is a plus.
