CaptivateIQ is a Series C-backed sales performance management platform (backed by Sequoia, ICONIQ, Accel, Sapphire Ventures) that helps high-growth companies like Netflix, Figma, and Stripe optimize incentive compensation and sales planning.
You will own the complete lifecycle of content strategy, execution, and distribution. This is a strategic, growth-oriented role where you'll architect CaptivateIQ's market point of view and build a high-velocity distribution engine across social and owned channels. You'll develop an editorial and social calendar that drives awareness, engagement, and pipeline, collaborating with customers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to craft differentiated narratives for RevOps, Sales, and Finance audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and evolve a company-wide content strategy aligned to growth priorities, target segments, and the buyer journey; translate into editorial roadmaps and channel plans.
- Own integrated content and social calendars, ensuring the right mix of campaigns, thought leadership, product narratives, customer stories, and lifecycle content is planned and shipped on time.
- Own organic brand awareness via social: define content pillars, social voice, executive social and employee advocacy programs, channel-specific formats, and reactive content guidelines.
- Partner with customers and SMEs to develop unique market points of view, shaping signature assets (category narratives, executive bylines, long-form guides, research reports, keynotes).
- Lead development of cornerstone content and atomize it across blog, social, newsletter, sales enablement, webinars, video, podcasts, and field events.
- Establish editorial governance (voice, tone, messaging guardrails, briefing templates, QA standards) to ensure clarity and brand integrity.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Growth, Comms, Field, and Sales to align content with launches, demand programs, events, and enablement; set clear briefs and success metrics.
- Measure and analyze content performance (traffic, engagement, pipeline, SEO, social share of voice); translate metrics into experimentation roadmap.
- Coordinate external partners (agencies, freelancers) with clear briefs, SLAs, and editorial standards.
- Drive operational excellence across intake, prioritization, production workflows, and reviews to improve speed-to-publish and quality.
Requirements:
- 7–10 years of B2B content experience with a track record of building programs that drive measurable impact across awareness and demand.
- Deep experience collaborating with executives, customers, and SMEs to produce differentiated market-shaping thought leadership and category narratives.
- Proven ownership of organic social strategies: channel planning, voice development, executive social, employee advocacy, and social listening/engagement.
- Strong editorial judgment and storytelling skills; ability to translate complex concepts into simple, compelling narratives.
- Proficiency with SEO, content analytics, and experimentation to prioritize topics, optimize distribution, and demonstrate ROI.
- Hands-on writing and editing skills across long-form, short-form, and multimedia formats; comfortable giving and receiving editorial feedback.
- Experience coordinating external partners and vendors, including budgeting and capacity planning for outsourced work.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, SEO suites, analytics, social scheduling and listening, project management, and marketing automation tools.
- Bonus: Experience in B2B SaaS for revenue operations, sales performance, finance, or compensation; executive ghostwriting; original research programs.
