Checkout.com is a global fintech platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. The Design team comprises 30+ people across Product Design, UX Research, Content Design, Content Strategy, and Technical Writing.
You'll join as a Senior Content Designer leading content design for a new, developing product domain. This is a hands-on role where you'll shape how users understand and interact with complex payment and billing experiences from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Integrating content design into early product strategy, helping teams clarify problems, concepts, and priorities
- Designing and refining end-to-end user journeys using research, insights, and testing to improve comprehension and usability
- Creating practical guidance, terminology, and reusable content patterns that enable consistent delivery as the product scales
- Building alignment across functions (designers, product managers, researchers, engineers, technical writers, legal, support) and contributing to Design organization best practices
Success means content foundations are clear and consistently adopted across the domain, key journeys are easier to understand with stronger usability metrics, and content design visibly influences product decisions and ways of working.
You bring hands-on experience in content design or UX writing for digital products, including ownership of end-to-end journeys. You've defined reusable UX content patterns and systems, simplified complex or regulated topics in plain language, and used research and testing to validate product decisions. You communicate clearly, exercise sound product judgment, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams using tools like Figma.
Nice-to-have experience includes payments/fintech environments, building content foundations for new product areas, and using AI-assisted tools in design workflows.
