evermore is a Series B healthtech company that administers Smart Benefits to connect people to products and services they need—healthy foods, OTC medications, transportation—so they can live healthier lives. The company partners with payers and retailers to deliver expansive benefits and is reinventing benefits administration for better outcomes.
You will serve as Senior Compliance Officer, reporting directly to the SVP of Legal. This role is instrumental in supporting HIPAA and federal healthcare program compliance across the company, with particular focus on two areas: (1) evermore's obligations as a delegated entity to health plan clients, and (2) oversight of third-parties and subcontractors, including business associates under HIPAA and vendors that qualify as first tier, downstream, or related entities (FDRs).
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering and supporting the corporate compliance program and Medicare/Medicaid compliance obligations
- Developing and implementing practical compliance controls that scale with business growth
- Ensuring adherence to federal healthcare program requirements and HIPAA regulations
- Managing third-party and subcontractor compliance oversight
- Supporting audit readiness and regulatory submissions
- Advising business teams on compliance implications of new initiatives
The ideal candidate brings strong command of Medicare and Medicaid regulatory requirements, experience in startups or high-growth environments, and sound judgment in building scalable compliance infrastructure. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory landscape and collaborating cross-functionally with legal, operations, and business teams.
