Boston Scientific seeks a Senior Clinical Specialist for Interventional Solutions based in Des Moines, Iowa. This field-based role combines clinical expertise with customer education and procedural support across Boston Scientific's interventional cardiology portfolio, which includes drug-eluting stents, drug-coated balloons, bare-metal stents, catheters, guidewires, coronary atherectomy systems, and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) technology. You will serve as a trusted clinical expert within your territory, partnering closely with physicians, catheterization laboratory staff, and cross-functional teams to drive clinical adoption and support market development. Key responsibilities include executing regional clinical and sales strategies, providing primary clinical resources for case coverage and product troubleshooting, delivering procedural support during coronary interventions, and educating customers on safe and effective product use through presentations, in-services, and hands-on training. You will build and maintain strong relationships with physicians and catheterization laboratory personnel, support product launches and specialty product adoption, identify opportunities to increase product utilization, and collaborate with sales partners on account growth strategies. The role includes mentoring newer Clinical Specialists, assisting with onboarding and field training, managing consignment inventory tracking and audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This position requires flexibility for travel and field work. You will be expected to maintain ongoing compliance with company policies, including COVID-19 vaccination requirements for healthcare-facing roles and drug testing as a pre-employment requirement for this safety-sensitive position. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent work experience; minimum 4 years' experience in medical device sales, healthcare, clinical cardiology, or related clinical field; ability to work flexible hours and travel as required. Preferred: Experience supporting coronary interventions and advanced interventional cardiology technologies (intravascular imaging, coronary atherectomy); demonstrated success developing customer relationships and expanding product utilization; experience mentoring or training clinical/commercial team members; strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate complex clinical and product information; strong business acumen, communication and problem-solving skills; advanced degree in healthcare, business, or related discipline.
