Doctronic is an AI healthcare company that has delivered over 30 million consults and is the first and only AI legally authorized to practice medicine (renewing prescriptions autonomously under Utah's AI Learning Lab). The company is live in all 50 states with AI and human physicians available 24/7, has raised $65M through Series B funding, and is now building its enterprise sales organization. You will own the health plan vertical end-to-end, responsible for pipeline generation, relationships, narrative development, and revenue targets. You'll work with regional and national commercial payers, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicaid managed care organizations, and third-party administrators. This is one of the first senior sales hires on the enterprise team, reporting to the Chief Business Officer and working alongside the Chief Medical Officer. Key responsibilities include: - Owning pipeline generation and closed contract value for the health plan vertical, maintaining at least four opportunities in contracting or later stages at any time - Building the payer narrative and buyer persona map around total cost of care, access and network adequacy, member engagement, quality measures, and value-based arrangements - Running the full sales cycle: sourcing with business development and marketing, scoping integrations with solutions engineering, and closing with deal desk - Navigating payer procurement and compliance (security reviews, diligence questionnaires, corporate practice of medicine considerations, BAA and DUA negotiation) - Partnering with the Chief Medical Officer and research team to develop payer-ready economic packages - Coordinating with implementation teams pre-signature to ensure delivery aligns with commitments - Feeding vertical requirements into the enterprise product roadmap and managing scope creep - Growing accounts post-launch alongside customer success, prioritizing expansion within plans over net-new logos This role involves significant travel, as enterprise payers do not buy over video alone. You will spend considerable time teaching the market what autonomous clinical AI can do, as the product category is still new and regulators are still defining it. REQUIREMENTS: - 10+ years selling into health plans, including multi-year enterprise contracts you personally closed and carried a number against - Verifiable relationships with payer economic buyers: chief medical officers, VPs of clinical operations and network, and digital health or innovation leaders - Fluency in payer economics and vocabulary: PMPM, risk adjustment, medical loss ratio, capitation, shared savings, and value-based contracting - Track record of selling clinical credibility rather than features, with judgment to identify which evidence a given buyer needs - Comfort selling a product still in motion within a category regulators are still defining - Willingness to travel heavily - Based in New York City or willing to relocate NICE TO HAVE: - Experience selling AI, digital health, or virtual care into payers - Prior experience inside a health plan on the buying side - Familiarity with CMS models and care management programs (ACCESS, APCM, CCM, TCM) - Experience with co-branded or digital front door deployments in plan member experiences - Early-stage company experience as one of the first sellers in a vertical
