You will join the Clinical Product team as a Senior Clinical Specialist, AI Systems, serving as the embedded clinical partner to product pods. Your primary responsibility is ensuring that AI system outputs reaching members are clinically correct, clinically useful, and safe. You will work across product, engineering, and clinical teams to translate clinical expertise into technical requirements and evaluate complex clinical scenarios. Key responsibilities include: - Partner with product pods as the clinical liaison, bringing systems-based medicine principles into product development - Design and run clinical AI evaluations in partnership with engineering teams - Define clinical quality standards, build evaluation rubrics, and assess AI outputs for accuracy, clinical intent, omissions, hallucinations, and medication-safety failure modes - Translate clinical reasoning into technical specifications, working with engineers to embed clinical logic into AI systems - Own the clinical quality bar end-to-end for AI product areas from requirements through launch and ongoing monitoring - Monitor and flag when product behavior must evolve as evidence, guidelines, or clinical standards shift You will evaluate AI outputs incorporating diverse data points including blood biomarkers, wearables, omics, imaging, and gut microbiome data. You'll work on products like the Action Plan, Clinician Note, Health Journeys, and member-facing AI chat. Required qualifications include an MD, DO, or equivalent clinical doctorate with substantial hands-on clinical practice and real clinical responsibility for patients. You need deep expertise in one or more clinical domains, ideally with understanding of systems medicine approaches. Strong clinical reasoning under time pressure, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to adapt information for diverse audiences (engineers, PMs, designers, members) are essential. While prior AI/ML experience is not required, genuine curiosity about how AI systems work and demonstrated ability to learn technical concepts quickly are critical. You should be comfortable with ambiguity, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of owning complex projects end-to-end in cross-functional settings.
