Coursera, now merged with Udemy to form one of the world's most comprehensive skills development platforms, is seeking a Senior Category Growth Manager to drive consumer portfolio growth. In this role, you will independently own high-priority business opportunities from initial diagnosis through measurable business outcomes, serving as the growth engine within Category Management. You will analyze portfolio performance across revenue, paid conversion, retention, and lifetime value to identify the highest-impact growth opportunities. Your responsibilities include developing integrated growth strategies, leading cross-functional teams across Product, Marketing, Content, Data, Finance, and Partner organizations, and executing with rigor to remove blockers and deliver measurable business impact. Key responsibilities include owning complex consumer business opportunities end-to-end; analyzing portfolio performance to identify root causes and quantify opportunities; leading cross-functional initiatives by influencing without direct authority; designing and executing experiments and operating mechanisms that accelerate learning; prioritizing growth opportunities using business impact, implementation effort, timing, confidence, and strategic fit; and serving as a portfolio-level business owner balancing short-term revenue with long-term category growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex business problems, and is equally comfortable moving from deep analytical work to executive strategy discussions and hands-on cross-functional execution. You will flex across initiatives as business priorities evolve, build repeatable operating mechanisms, and drive impact wherever the greatest opportunities exist. Coursera is a globally distributed team that comes together intentionally for collaboration and complex problem-solving. The company's mission is to provide universal access to world-class learning, partnering with leading universities and industry partners to offer courses, specializations, professional certificates, and degrees.
