Veeam is seeking a Senior C# Developer to join the Explorers and Identity Resilience team in Warsaw. You'll design and implement end-to-end recovery flows for critical infrastructure, including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Exchange, SharePoint, and Active Directory forest recovery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement recovery flows spanning REST/gRPC contracts, server-side orchestration, and remote agent execution
- Build PowerShell cmdlets as a first-class product surface with robust parameter validation and coherent object models
- Design pre-flight validation systems that catch restore failures before execution across all layers
- Work directly with database internals (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Active Directory systems (domain controller promotion, SYSVOL, NTDS, DNS, Kerberos, replication)
- Manage long-running distributed sessions including agent deployment, keep-alive, failure cleanup, and cancellation
- Own integration test suites and maintain code quality
- Refactor and improve a mature, long-lived codebase
You'll work with C#, .NET, REST, gRPC/Protobuf, PowerShell, multithreading, async patterns, Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, major databases, VMware, Hyper-V, Git, TFS, Visual Studio, and Rider.
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years commercial C# product development with deep .NET, data structures, and algorithms knowledge
- Experience designing service APIs (REST, gRPC) where backward compatibility matters
- Strong async/multithreading skills for long-running operations
- Depth in Windows Server/Active Directory administration or database recovery mechanics
- Comfort navigating large existing codebases
- Fluent English for international team collaboration
