Life360 is a family safety and connection platform serving over 100 million monthly active users globally. The company offers location sharing, safe driver reports, crash detection with emergency dispatch, and pet GPS tracking through its mobile app, Tile tracking devices, and Pet GPS tracker.
You will join a small, senior Business Development team focused on forging strategic partnerships with leading consumer technology and AI companies. The team measures success on monetizable members and paying subscribers generated from partnerships, not just sign-ups. You will own a focused set of high-value partners and drive each deal from initial outreach through launch and sustained growth.
In your first year, you will: (1) build a clear strategy for partner targets—large consumer and technology companies with millions of customers, including device makers, financial services, and consumer platforms—identifying value propositions and decision-makers; (2) open new doors by creating opportunities through direct outreach to senior executives at target companies and building relationships across their organizations; (3) sign three strategic distribution partnerships with at least two live and generating monetizable MAU or paying subscribers by year-end; (4) rally internal teams (product, engineering, marketing, legal, finance) and partner counterparts to move deals forward and sustain growth post-signature.
You will also develop and apply AI-enabled workflows to improve how partnerships are identified, evaluated, and executed, establishing scalable practices across the team.
The interview process is built around real work: you will walk through a partnership you originated from first outreach to results, demonstrate an AI workflow or agent you use in deal work, and participate in a working session where you select a large potential partner for Life360 and show how you would open the door, identify the deal, and execute it.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must-have: You open doors yourself—you reach out to senior people at large companies you haven't met, persist through rejection, and can point to partnerships you originated.
- Must-have: You have executive relationships at major technology platforms (Meta, Google, OpenAI) and in industries such as travel, financial services, and consumer services; you can secure serious meetings and convert them to deals.
- Must-have: You build partnership strategy and close deals—you've identified which partners a company should pursue, brought executives to decision, led complex negotiations with large companies, and driven partnerships through launch to results that moved company-level member growth and revenue.
- Must-have: You lead without authority—product, engineering, legal, finance, and partner counterparts want to work with you because you build genuine, trusting relationships on both sides.
- Must-have: You work AI-native, developing and applying AI-enabled workflows in strategic partnership work.
- Typical background: ~15 years in technology business development or strategic partnerships, with substantial time at senior level, ideally in mobile consumer apps, connected devices, or consumer subscription services.
