As Senior Brand Manager focused on the professional (pro) audience, you will report directly to the Director of Brand Strategy and own the brand positioning, strategy, and execution for Thumbtack's service provider segment. This is a strategic role that shapes how the company positions itself to pros and ensures that promise is delivered across all touchpoints.
Key responsibilities include: leading the rollout and evolution of the brand playbook for the pro audience, including positioning, content strategy, and cross-functional training; identifying high-leverage brand opportunities to drive pro-side growth and translating them into creative briefs and strategic direction; owning brand insights work including audience research, competitive analysis, and brand health tracking; partnering with marketing and communications teams to develop integrated content strategy and creative calendars; extending brand influence across product, service, and sales organizations to align company priorities; leading brand infrastructure for AI-driven content creation; orchestrating strategy for major moments like product launches and the annual Pro Summit; and serving as a senior voice on the Brand Strategy team, setting standards and driving alignment.
You will need 6-8+ years of brand marketing experience with strong focus on strategy, positioning, and messaging (SMB marketing experience is a plus). You must have demonstrated success defining and implementing comprehensive brand strategy including positioning frameworks, playbooks, and messaging architecture. Experience setting brand vision and roadmap upstream of campaigns is essential, as is expertise designing and managing brand health measurement programs. Strong creative judgment, experience writing strategic creative briefs, and ability to partner effectively with creative agencies and in-house teams are required. You should be comfortable designing and running creative experimentation programs and have analytical rigor in planning research, synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights.
