Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations dependent on physical operations to harness IoT data for actionable insights. The company serves agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — industries representing over 40% of global GDP. You will lead product marketing strategy for Samsara's public sector business, owning narrative, positioning, and enablement for government buyers across federal, state, local, and education segments. This is a strategic, cross-functional role requiring deep expertise in how public sector organizations evaluate and procure technology, including compliance frameworks like FedRAMP and StateRAMP/GovRAMP. Key responsibilities include: managing a direct report while building the public sector PMM team's foundation; developing core messaging grounded in mission outcomes for government buyers; building Samsara's federal go-to-market foundation in partnership with cross-functional teams; translating compliance requirements into sales advantages; localizing product launches for government audiences; creating battlecards, RFP response content, and compliance-focused sales collateral; and tracking competitive positioning in the public sector space. You'll be a player-coach architect, building frameworks and playbooks that define how Samsara wins in government rather than executing within an existing motion. The role requires fluency in procurement cycles, contract vehicles, and compliance considerations — turning these into go-to-market advantages. You'll have real ownership over strategy and the opportunity to shape a nascent federal business unit. This remote position is open to US-based candidates, with preference for those in or near Washington, DC, or able to work Eastern time zone hours. You'll work with a high-caliber team at a recently public company with autonomy to make long-term impact.
