Huckleberry is a parenting app trusted by 6.5+ million families, combining pediatric expertise with data science, AI, and behavioral science to support parents through their unique journeys. The company is growing rapidly and expanding product offerings.
As Senior Brand Designer, you will be the visual design leader responsible for creating a cohesive Huckleberry brand experience across all touchpoints—the app, App Store, website, campaigns, paid media, lifecycle communications, and content. You will partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to ensure brand consistency while evolving the visual system to meet business needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to create cohesive brand experiences across the app, website, campaigns, paid media, lifecycle, and content
- Maintain and expand a flexible brand system that scales with business needs
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to define how Huckleberry's visual identity is expressed across experiences and channels
- Act as a brand champion, establishing consistent and distinctive visual perspective across the organization
- Bridge brand and product design, bringing brand into the product experience itself
- Brief and collaborate with external partners (illustrators, motion designers, video, agencies) to execute high-quality work
- Design through iteration, experimentation, audience insights, and performance data to understand what resonates with families
- Ensure consistency across marketing channels while identifying opportunities to evolve the visual system
- Provide thoughtful feedback across Marketing, Product, and Design teams
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in visual design (in-house or agency)
- Strong understanding of graphic design fundamentals: typography, color, layout, composition, visual hierarchy
- Creative focus on visual design across web, mobile product, digital campaigns, video, and print
- Demonstrated passion for branding with portfolio showing strong work across contexts, with focus on brand systems
- Experience working with motion designers to conceptualize and build motion as part of brand systems (individual motion experience a plus)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with designers and non-designers
- Curiosity to stay current with evolving design tools and techniques while developing original, opinionated visual perspective
- Track record of collaborating with design, marketing, and business partners to translate project needs, audience insights, and constraints into thoughtful design decisions
- Ability to balance multiple projects, independently prioritize based on objectives and business goals, and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environment
