Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company behind Next.js, v0, and AI SDK. As Senior Brand Designer on the Core team, you'll evolve the foundational visual language of a brand trusted by millions of developers and companies like OpenAI, PayPal, and Ramp.
You'll lead design across key brand moments—product launches, campaigns, events, and internal initiatives—working across mediums including web, motion, 3D, social, print, swag, and environments. This is not a static design role. You'll move fluidly between Figma and code, using AI-assisted tools (v0, Cursor, Claude Code) to prototype independently and explore new forms of brand expression.
Key responsibilities include: evolving foundational visual identity elements (typography, color, composition, iconography, imagery, motion); designing and building scalable brand systems; working hands-on from concept through final production; establishing shared visual language across product, marketing, and internal communications; partnering with design engineers and external specialists (studios, freelancers, photographers, illustrators); and presenting creative decisions aligned with brand, product, audience, and business goals.
You're a visual strategist and creative explorer who creates clarity from complexity. You actively use AI throughout your workflow to design, prototype, automate, and experiment. You think in systems, sweat the details, and know when to veer left for a one-off moment that makes people stop scrolling. This is craft at speed—high-impact, high-visibility work where your output ships.
Required: 5+ years in brand, marketing, or visual design (ideally at SaaS, developer tools, or fast-growing tech); exceptional taste and systems thinking across mediums; obsessive attention to typography, spacing, hierarchy, and alignment; deep understanding of visual storytelling, brand systems, composition, and motion; proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools; practical HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills to refine prototypes to high visual and interaction standards; technical curiosity and comfort shipping functional prototypes.
