Juniper Square is a leading operations platform for private markets, serving 2,300+ GPs with $300B+ under administration. The company unifies technology, data, and fund administration services, and is now scaling its billing operations to match tripled transaction volumes.
As Senior Billing Specialist, you will report to the Billing & Collections Manager and own critical billing functions for a rapidly growing fintech platform. Your responsibilities include:
• Analyze complex and ambiguous customer contracts to determine correct billing treatment and revenue recognition
• Process invoices and credit memos for non-standard billing scenarios, ensuring accuracy before customer delivery
• Perform daily cash application: match incoming payments to invoices, post transactions, and maintain AR accuracy
• Guide and mentor team members on invoice processing workflows within Zone (NetSuite-native billing software)
• Review team-processed invoices for quality assurance and compliance
• Respond to customer billing inquiries with thorough research and timely resolution
• Own follow-up on past-due accounts, coordinating escalations with Fund Admin and Customer Success teams
• Monitor AR aging reports and flag at-risk balances to management
• Drive process improvements and workflow refinement, particularly during peak billing cycles (Dec, Mar, Jun, Sep)
• Partner cross-functionally with Deal Desk on contract structuring and with Fund Admin/CX on collections strategy
• Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance productivity across billing, cash application, and reporting
You'll thrive in a high-speed, dynamic environment where you independently investigate complex billing questions, ask clarifying questions proactively, and operate with strong Excel proficiency. This is a hands-on role with mentoring responsibilities but no formal direct reports.
