Scopely, a leading mobile games publisher behind Monopoly GO! and Pokémon GO, is seeking a Senior Art Manager to lead and develop the art team for Monopoly GO!, a flagship casual game enjoyed by millions worldwide.
This is a people-focused management role centered on building a healthy, high-performing art organization. You will lead and mentor a team of artists across one or more disciplines, establishing clear performance expectations, providing regular feedback and career guidance, and fostering professional growth. Key responsibilities include monitoring team health and morale, proactively addressing burnout and capacity issues, managing team structure and staffing needs, and supporting hiring and onboarding processes.
You will work closely with Art Directors and craft leads to maintain quality standards and professional development, while representing the art team's needs and achievements to leadership. The role involves facilitating cross-team communication, helping assign artists to work that matches their skills and development goals, and encouraging adoption of improved tools, workflows, and AI-enabled processes.
Required qualifications include significant game development experience, proven success managing or mentoring artists, strong people management and performance management skills, excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities, and experience with multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams. Preferred experience includes managing artists in mobile, casual, or live-service environments, background in 2D, 3D, animation, VFX, UI, or technical art, hiring and workforce planning expertise, and familiarity with modern digital art tools and AI-assisted creative processes.
