Scalable Capital, a leading European fintech platform with over 1 million clients and €30 billion in assets under management, is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join its Vienna office.
You will work alongside a highly motivated team of software engineers and academics to design and implement user interfaces that make complex financial services accessible to everyday users. You'll own the full Android app lifecycle from ideation through delivery on the Play Store, building visually rich user experiences and experimenting with cutting-edge Android technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing intuitive user interfaces for investment and banking features
- Writing clean, testable, well-documented code with security as a first-class concern
- Improving and suggesting technical and product improvements across the platform
- Staying current with the Android technology landscape and framework updates
- Collaborating with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to deliver exceptional UX
- Building custom UI components and leveraging modern Android development practices

Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, engineering, natural sciences, or comparable qualification
- Exposure to and/or interest in: Kotlin, RxJava, Coroutines, Compose, Dagger, GraphQL APIs
- Strong analytical thinking in both technical and product domains
- Passion for delivering great UX and working with custom UI
- Excellent communication skills, clear and targeted toward engineering, product, and other stakeholders
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the Android framework
- Interest in exploring other technology stacks
- Prior fintech experience is a plus but not required; interest in investing or being a Scalable Capital customer is valued
