Checkout.com is a global fintech payments platform processing over 10 billion transactions yearly for companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. With 20 offices across six continents and London as headquarters, the company is investing in strengthening its accounting operations and financial reporting infrastructure. You will join the growing global controller team in Tallinn, supporting financial control and reporting for Checkout.com's UK entities (including the largest regulated entity and primary cost center) as well as branches and subsidiaries across Estonia, Mauritius, Portugal, Spain, and the Netherlands. Key responsibilities include: - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with local GAAP and IFRS standards - Perform financial reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis - Maintain and improve financial controls to ensure data integrity - Work with the finance manager to develop reports and provide business performance insights - Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes with required documentation - Support external audit activities and provide relevant documentation - Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance across multiple jurisdictions - Contribute to global projects including implementation of new financial systems, tools, and processes - Maintain multi-currency financial reporting and analysis Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, or equivalent - 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or audit roles, preferably in international or multinational companies - Basic understanding of IFRS - Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets and complex financial reports - Proficiency in Excel and basic financial analysis - Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) Preferred experience includes working with financial systems and ERP platforms such as Workday or NetSuite. The role operates in a high-volume, complex, dynamic environment requiring juggling multiple deliverables while maintaining accuracy and quality. Checkout.com offers a hybrid working model with three days per week in office to support collaboration.
