Rent the Runway is seeking a Senior Analyst, Finance to provide critical business intelligence and financial analysis that empowers senior management and the C-suite to make sound strategic decisions. This role is central to the finance team's mission of delivering timely, high-quality reporting and analysis as the company scales its circular fashion platform.
You will develop and maintain complex financial models that inform decisions about the company's cost base and revenue projections. You'll prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly management reports to key stakeholders, presenting and interpreting financial data to senior leadership. Your analysis will directly impact strategic business decisions across the organization.
Key responsibilities include owning budgeting and forecasting processes (annual and quarterly reviews, department-specific budgets, actuals vs. budget tracking), partnering with business areas on strategic analysis and modeling, analyzing competitor performance and market trends, and supporting key initiatives that drive ROI, profitability, and forecast reliability. You'll also assist in preparing materials for Board of Directors meetings and work on special projects including M&A, financings, and new business initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Statistics with 2-3 years of finance and/or strategic analysis experience. You should have a background in investment banking, M&A, FP&A, corporate finance, or consulting. You're analytically rigorous, entrepreneurial, highly detail-oriented, proficient in financial analysis and model building, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
