Celonis is seeking a Senior Value Engineer to drive AI and data-driven business transformation within the Retail sector. You will spearhead the end-to-end value journey for Fortune 500 customers using the Celonis Context Model, combining technical execution with consulting and project management expertise.
In this role, you will:
**Value Selling & Realization:** Uncover organizational challenges by peeling back layers of complexity. Own outcomes from first discovery through realized ROI for assigned process areas. Craft powerful executive narratives and lead business value workshops to tell the value story.
**Stakeholder Management:** Cultivate executive sponsorship across core business units to champion transformation programs. Co-own change management with customer leaders and design Centers of Excellence (CoE) roadmaps that build self-sufficiency.
**Program Management:** Steer global transformations across complex workstreams. Own and implement AI-driven account planning and AI-assisted project management. Automate executive governance (QBRs, steering committees) with minimal manual friction.
**Platform & AI Fluency:** Act as an AI-fluent operator, utilizing AI tools for rapid technical outputs while partnering with Applied Value Engineers for deep-dive solution builds. Champion platform adoption across customer organizations.
**Scale Value & Innovation:** Build strategic expansion roadmaps embedding Celonis as a strategic platform to drive adoption. Provide feedback to R&D based on evolving customer use cases and market trends.
You will work alongside Lead and Principal Value Engineers, partnering closely with the Sales team to ensure the Celonis Platform is deployed to tackle the most strategic business challenges, fits appropriately into customers' technology stacks, and generates strong ROI through deep and broad deployments.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of experience taking ownership of complex workstreams, process areas, and customer relationships in Value Engineering, Consulting, or Pre-Sales
- Solid background in enterprise IT and business software (e.g., SAP, Workday, Salesforce, Oracle)
- Operate primarily as an AI-fluent operator, utilizing AI copilots to generate outputs and automations; avoid heavy manual coding
- Comfortable setting your own direction within an account team with a builder mentality
- Proven expertise in executing process improvements and value realization
- Demonstrated expertise orchestrating multi-region or business unit transformation programs
- Expert at mobilizing VP/Director-level sponsorship with flawless English communication and commanding executive presence
- Deep understanding of Finance/Supply Chain domains and Retail trends; stay continuously updated on business-critical use cases
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or comparable technical degree; or Business/Economics degree paired with a technical minor
