Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join its AI/ML team, which plays a critical role in helping users understand and respond to complex observability data through AI-driven features. The role focuses on building and delivering high-performance AI solutions that help users detect, triage, and resolve incidents using observability data and tools.
You will take ownership of developing AI-powered features with a strong emphasis on rapid experimentation and iteration. The work involves implementing highly iterative processes where you quickly prototype, test, and validate with real users, including shipping and evolving LLM- or agent-powered workflows for incident lifecycle management and automated analysis tasks. You'll collaborate closely with data analysts, product managers, and designers to shape AI-driven product features, including integration of agentic components with internal tools, alerting systems, runbooks, and developer workflows.
The team operates with a high degree of autonomy and ownership. Engineers are empowered to make decisions, move quickly, and validate ideas early while being supported by a deeply collaborative culture that values curiosity, feedback, and cross-functional partnership. You'll have access to modern AI coding assistants and frontier models as part of your daily workflow, with company-funded usage budgets to iterate quickly without friction.
Key responsibilities include building and delivering AI solutions for incident detection and resolution, rapid experimentation and iteration with LLM and agent-powered workflows, cross-functional collaboration on product features, effective communication in a dynamic environment, and taking full ownership of AI solutions to ensure they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with real user workflows.
