Bumble Inc. (parent company of Bumble Date, BFF, and Badoo) is seeking a Senior AI Automation & Service Engineer to lead automation initiatives across the employee experience lifecycle while providing hands-on technical support for day-to-day service delivery and desktop support.
In this role, you will independently drive the zero-ops vision by optimizing workflows, implementing AI-powered integrations, managing core service tooling, and providing general office support including conference room AV equipment. You'll work across multiple technical domains to deliver tangible service improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering and configuring Jira Service Management (workflows, queues, automation rules, permission schemes, reporting dashboards)
- Maintaining desktop engineering standards (OS imaging, application packaging, patch management, endpoint lifecycle management)
- Providing Service Desk support including ticket response, request triage, and first-line troubleshooting for hardware, software, and account access issues
- Integrating AI agents into service experiences (employee chatbots, self-service tools)
- Partnering with support and platform teams to identify and automate common issues
- Analyzing service data to prioritize automation impact
- Mentoring junior engineers and establishing automation best practices standards
- Participating in day-to-day IT operations including ticket queue monitoring
- Performing hands-on physical tasks (workstation setup, AV troubleshooting, hardware swaps, network equipment adjustments)
You will be expected to solve complex service problems using automation and AI-driven techniques, take initiative in identifying automation opportunities, and begin to influence team direction and standards.
The role is based in London with a hybrid work style requiring onsite presence Monday–Wednesday during core hours (9:00am–3:00pm) to collaborate across engineering teams. You should be within commutable distance to the office.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in Engineering and Workplace technology
- Experience with Jira administration
- Experience with ThousandEyes or similar network monitoring tools
- Strong scripting proficiency (Python, Bash)
- Working experience with Slack integrations or similar tools
- Comfortable with MDM tools (Iru) and endpoint automation (macOS)
- Solid understanding of networking and endpoint security
- Ability to independently troubleshoot cross-system issues
